Joel Sager founded Victoria Internet Providers in 1996 as the second local Internet service provider in Victoria, Texas. VIP went from a 100-user, local provider to become a 6000-user, regional, Tier II Internet provider with Joel's assistance. He has installed countless Linux systems functioning as e-mail, file/print, and web servers. In addition, Joel has configured Linux computers to be network routers, shell boxes, and news systems. Linux is not the only system Joel is proficient with, as he has extensive experience with IBM's AIX on RS/6000 computers and all versions of Microsoft Windows. To top it off, he has instructed advanced Unix courses at Victoria College, and has served on the board of several local technology committees. |
